Jul 2, 2024 · The band dismissed DeRosier and Fossen after recording Private Audition and replaced them with drummer Denny Carmassi and bassist Mark Andes on the album Passionworks (1983), which sold fewer than 500,000 copies. As its album sales plummeted, Heart seemed destined to fade from the rock music scene.
