Jul 29, 2021 · One day, around 18 years ago, filmmaker Nikkhil Advani, who was working on his film Kal Ho Naa Ho and music composer Loy Mendonsa of the musical trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, were sitting in Pune’s German Bakery, discussing the film over breakfast. Suddenly, a musical motif came to Loy. He cut short the meeting and headed back to the hotel.
Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the band, was born. Scoring for films, advertisements, the works. S-E-L started to merge with something that everybody would sink into with open arms.
