He made his first on-screen appearance in 1971 as a child actor with the Kannada film ”Kula Gourava.” He produced numerous popular films such as ”Prema Matsara” (Kannada, 1982), ”Inquilaab” (Bollywood, 1984), ”Padikkathavan” (Tamil, 1985), etc.
He is renowned in the Kannada film industry for his understanding of the technical aspects of cinema. His movies are lavish and stand out for superior production values distinguished for cinematography, sound, lighting, music and special effects.
