The Space Between Us. For his first solo album, The Space Between Us (Melankolic, 1998) Craig Armstrong brings together a collection of works from his career to date, including the haunting strings of modern classic Weather Storm, which formed part of his collaboration with Bristol’s Massive Attack on their 2006 hit album Protection.
Craig said of Mogwai’s involvement, “It was fantastic that Stuart from Mogwai did a remix of the track as I have been a lifelong fan of their music”. Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite, lead guitarist of the band also known for their work on soundtracks for The Fountain and documentary film Before the Flood, said it was an “honour” to work with Armstrong, and enjoyed putting his unique stamp on the track.

He graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 1981, and has since written music for the Royal Shakespeare Company , the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the London Sinfonietta .
