The River Taff ( Welsh: Afon Taf) is a river in Wales. It rises as two rivers in the Brecon Beacons; the Taf Fechan ( little Taff) and the Taf Fawr ( great Taff) before becoming one just north of Merthyr Tydfil. Its confluence with the River Severn estuary is in Cardiff .

Mar 10, 2017 · Here are some facts about the River Taff. The River Taff is formed at Cefn-coed-y-cymmer in Merthyr Tydfil in Wales at the confluence (meeting point) of the rivers Taf Fechan and Taf Fawr. It flows through Pontypridd, underneath the M4 Motorway and Cardiff.
The Taff trail along Bute Park is wonderfully relaxing and an enjoyable stroll. There is also a river boat 'taxi' service that starts from just inside the Bute Park gate (opposite the Millennium Stadium). The boat trip lasts about 25 minutes (£3) and has one stop in Penarth before terminating at Cardiff Bay.
