Gary David Goldberg (born June 25, 1944 - ) is an American writer and producer for television and film, best known for his work on Family Ties, Spin City, and his acclaimed semi-autobiographical Brooklyn Bridge. Goldberg was born in Brooklyn, New York City. He studied at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, and San Diego State University, ultimately deciding to become a writer.
