The exhibits give the visitor/student an opportunity to learn through a process of interaction and discovery. The unit remains on tour for about 7/8 months in a year, covering a minimum of 60 sites. It generally remains in a school for 3 days.

Indira Gandhi on 3 rd March 1977 with the objective of fostering scientific temper through the means of edutainment (that’s right! education + entertainment). Also another nearest major railway station is the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station. From there the Nehru Science Centre is 6.8 km away. It would take about 20 minutes to reach the Science Centre from the railway station.
