Michael David Kenneth Read (born 1 March 1947) is an English radio disc jockey, writer, journalist and television presenter. Read has been a broadcaster since 1976, best known for having been a DJ with BBC Radio 1, and television host for music chart series Top of the Pops, children's programme Saturday Superstore and music panel game Pop Quiz.

Read was born in 1947 in Manchester, Read began his broadcasting career as a DJ on Reading's Radio 210 before joining the Radio 1 in 1978. In 1978, Read joined Top of the Pops as a regular presenter and went on to host the show for more than a decade. Mike Read guest co-presented the last weekly edition of Top of the Pops in July 2006.
