North-South corridor would connect Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir with Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu with a 4,076 km long road. The major objective of these Super Highways is to reduce the time and distance between the mega cities of India. These highway projects are being implemented by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

The T2D project is the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor and is estimated to save up to 40 minutes of travel time during peak hour traffic once complete. The project will connect communities across Greater Adelaide by using a combination of tunnels, lowered and surface-level motorways, as well as overpasses and underpasses at key intersections.
