St. Joseph’s College of Commerce (SJCC), formerly a part of St. Joseph’s College, established in the year 1882, is managed by the Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society (BJES). The BJES is a unit of a Catholic religious order called the Society of Jesus founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola in 1540.
Important Milestones of the institution. 1882. Founded by Fathers of the French Foreign Mission, affiliated to the University of Madras as a Second Grade College. 1925. Main building put up with enrollment of 350 students. 1926. University of Madras granted the Institution the status of a First Grade College.
