Webmail (LAN/WAN)
Webmail client is a substitute for those who don't have LAPTOP/DESKTOP at office/home or are out of campus. DO NOT SHARE YOUR PASSWORD IN WRITTEN FORM WITH ANY ONE.
There is a great tradition for sports at IITK. Students, faculty and staff all participate in the many sports played at IIT Kanpur enthusiastically. There are many sporting events held at IIT Kanpur each year. These are at the hall of residence level, institute level and there are also inter-collegiate events.
Login (Faculties, Students and Staff) Login is provided to all the students, faculty and staff members. Faculty members retain their login account even after retirement. The same login is used to access all CC facilities. Login (Project Employees) For email a/c, there is no charge.
Email facility is automatically provided to the user having login in CC. The email address of the user is @iitk.ac.in; All officers including Faculty and Academic Staff are given 15 GB of space for email storage and other staffs including students are given 5 GB of space for email storage.
Configure Microsoft Outlook Mail Client for IITK Webmail. Click on "Start" and type "Control" to open "Control Panel". Click on "Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2016)". Click "Add" to add a profile name. Enter any profile name (e.g. "IITK Webmail").

If you have been using the Office 365 services at IIT Kanpur since 2019 or later, your email id [ username@iitk.ac.in ] is (one of) your Microsoft Account (s). Note that this is your Computer Centre account too. Your Microsoft account password need not be the same as your CC password.
Follow the below images for Outlook/O365 mail client configuration. Start the setup in control panel of Windows OS. Add the IITK email account. Manually configure. Add server details. Setup outgoing server and ports. Check successful test.
