The awards aim to celebrate excellence in journalism, recognise courage and commitment and showcase the outstanding contributions of journalists from across the country.

The 17th edition of the prestigious Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards was conferred to journalists in 13 categories in a ceremony held in New Delhi on 19 March 2024. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highway Nitin Gadkari was the chief guest of the award ceremony.
