Southwell School, established in 1911, is a private school set in spacious park-like grounds in Hamilton City (New Zealand's fourth largest city) which is only a 90 minute drive from Auckland International Airport. The Scholarship is tenable for the duration of the successful student’s education at Southwell School in Years 7 and/or Year 8. The value of this scholarship is up to $5,000 per annum, off Tuition fees. Rototuna New World Scholarship Applications are now CLOSED for 2025. Applications for 2026 applicants will open in April 2025.
May 22, 2024 · In 1921 Southwell boarding started with a gift and since then the Southwell Boarding House has sat at the heart of the school and served thousands of students as a home away from home. The new, state-of-the-art Boarding House has been made possible through the immense generosity of Otorohanga couple John and Sarah Oliver and their significant gift towards the construction of the new Boarding House.
