Crook, a thriller, is loosely based on the racial attacks suffered by Indian students in Australia, between 2007-2010. Jai Dixit is brought up by uncle Joseph, a police officer, after the death of his father. Jai gets involved in piracy, and Joseph sends him to Australia.
