Rec 2 begins exactly where the predecessor left off with Dr Owen, an official from the Ministry of Health, and a heavily armed GEO team of four (Fernandez, Martos, Rosso and Larra) equipped with video cameras are sent into a quarantined apartment building to control the situation and also in search for the potential cure for the virus.
