Tom Watson (golfer) Thomas Sturges Watson (born September 4, 1949) is an American retired professional golfer on the PGA Tour Champions, formerly on the PGA Tour . In the 1970s and 1980s, Watson was one of the leading golfers in the world, winning eight major championships and heading the PGA Tour money list five times.
A member of the House of Lords since 2022, he was the member of Parliament (MP) for West Bromwich East from 2001 to 2019. Born in Sheffield, Watson was raised in Kidderminster, where he was educated at King Charles I School.
