The historic town centre with the castle complex is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone.
Duchcov Chateau (Czech: Zámek Duchcov; German: Schloss Dux) is a manor house in Duchcov in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It is protected as a national cultural monument. Today the chateau houses a museum with a collection of historic furniture.
History. The current three-wing chateau was constructed from a 16th century Renaissance house originally held by the Lobkowicz family. The Baroque alterations to the chateau made following owners from the Waldstein family.
