Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha temple, Simhachalam, is a Hindu temple situated on the Simhachalam Hill Range,which is 300 metres above the sea level in the city of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, who is worshipped there as Varaha Narasimha.
Originally known as Varaha Lakshmi Narsimha Temple, Simhachalam Temple is a famous shrine that offers holy and mystical vibes to the devotees of Lord Narsimha and has an exceptionally calm atmosphere to attract tourists from all around the world.
About 16km from the city centre lies a small, densely wooded hill known as Simhachalam. The top of this hill is home to the temple of Varaha Laxmi Narasimha Swamy (the temple's main deity), built in the Kalinga style of architecture.

Situated in the city of Vishakhapatnam, the Simhachalam temple is an ornate shrine which is revered to be one of the most important temples in the region. The edifice is perched atop a hill 800 metres above the sea level and is dedicated to Lord Narasimha, who is an incarnation of Vishnu himself.
Simhachalam Temple was mentioned in Amukthyamalyada by Sri Krishna Deva Raya (1509 – 1529 A.D). This temple is one of the 18 Narasimha Kshetras. Narasimha Swamy will be fully covered with Sandal paste, only on Akshaya Tritiya day, devotees can have Nijaroopa Darshan for 12 hours.
