According to Advaita vilasa, Sri Haridas Thakur was about 35 years elder to Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and his father’s name was Khan Ullah Kazi. Haridas Thakur became well-known for his constant chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra, which upset the Muslim government of his time. He was ordered to either stop chanting or be beaten. He chose to keep chanting. Haridas Thakur is considered by Vedic authorities to be the combined form of Lord Brahma and Sri Prahlad Maharaja.
