  6. Jun 26, 2024 · Downing is saddened to share the news that Emeritus Fellow and former Vice-Master Dr Martin Mays died on Sunday. Dr Mays first came to Downing as a Natural Sciences student, matriculating in 1957. He was a Fellow from 1965 to 2004 and held the roles of Admissions Tutor, Senior Tutor, and Director of Studies in Chemistry during his time at the College.
