Sri Swathi Thirunal Rama Varma III (16 April 1813 – 26 December 1846) was the Maharaja of the Kingdom of Travancore. He is also was a music composer and is credited with over 400 classical compositions in both Carnatic and Hindustani style.
Sri Swathi Thirunal Rama Varma was born into the Chera Dynasty of the royal family of Travancore, which is now a part of Kerala, on 16 April 1813. He was born to Rani Gauri Lakshmi Bai of Travancore & Raja Raja Varma Koyi Thampuran, a Samskritam scholar, of Changanasseri Palace.
Aswathi Thirunal Rama Varma (born 13 August 1968), known colloquially as Prince Rama Varma, is an Indian classical musician and a member of the erstwhile Royal Family of Travancore. [1] He is a Carnatic vocalist as well as an exponent of the Saraswati Veena.
