After Allen’s death, his wife, the actress and producer Sheila Allen, safeguarded his legacy on the board of Irwin Allen Productions. Sheila produced documentaries about her late husband’s work and produced 2006’s The Poseidon Adventure re-make, Poseidon. Sheila died in 2013.
