On December 31, 1998, Video Treasures changed its name to Anchor Bay Entertainment. In 2006, Anchor Bay Entertainment's parent company, IDT Entertainment, was purchased by Liberty Media and merged with Starz to form Starz Media. In 2007, Anchor Bay Entertainment was renamed Starz Home Entertainment, only for it to revert back to Anchor Bay Entertainment in 2008. In 2024, the Anchor Bay trademark was sold to Thomas Zambeck and Brian Katz, who relaunched the studio.
