Jun 11, 2023 · Ram Prasad Bismil was born on June 11, 1897 in a nondescript village in the United Provinces’ (now Uttar Pradesh) Shahjahanpur district. Today, he is one of India’s most revered freedom fighters, known as much for his revolutionary zeal as for his poetic profundity.
The court had appointed Jagat Narayan Mulla as public prosecutor knowingly; he had a prejudice against Ram Prasad Bismil since 1916, when Bismil led the grand procession of Bal Gangadhar Tilak at Lucknow. He had also been the public prosecutor in the Mainpuri conspiracy case of 1918.
Ram Prasad ‘Bismil’ was an Indian revolutionary who participated in Mainpuri Shadyantra of 1918 and historical Kakori conspiracy Case of 1925 both against British Empire. Bismil was his pen-name. He was associated with Arya Samaj, Shahjahanpur where he got inspiration from Satyarth Prakash, a book written by Swami Dayanand Saraswati.
