Another good indicator is that kucoin trading volume has increased 3x - 4x in past 3 months. Comparing to other exchanges, the number bears more authenticity (there was an article before that writes about ghost trading volumes reported by exchanges, kucoin is one of exchanges reporting real volumes)
Feb 25, 2022 · If true, that is a huge security flaw that KuCoin could allow API keys and withdrawal via API key to suddenly be enabled of your account is compromised. Other companies like Nexo or Celsius often send an email request confirmation immediately when you make a major change or 24 hour cool down when you add a new whitelist.
KuCoin survived a big hack in 2020 for over $280M USD. KuCoin paused deposits/withdrawls/trading for a few days. After opening again KuCoin made everyone on their platform whole. Furthermore, KuCoin is the 5th largest crypto spot market exchange according to CoinMarket Cap and CoinGecko. All of that should give you some confidence.
Feb 12, 2021 · KuCoin completely scammed me, literally set up and account and transferred 300$ into it and tried to trade and it said I had set a trading password which I never did. Tried to reset the password through security and it just says it failed. Terrible scam. Trading password is set manually by the user.

However, Kucoin has great liquidity, many (shit)coins to trade, their UI is great, easy to use, trading fees are low, and when they had security incidents, no user funds were affected. If you still decide to use Kucoin, note that some withdrawal fees are extremely high, and their support is a joke (slow, incompetent, annoying), and complaints about their futures are just too many.
