The men in town report that they want white women as they are “sick of black ladies”. The sequence at 26:04 is a nauseatingly well written dialogue between Marston and Quigley. Marston probes Quigley by relating Aborigines to Native Americans.
Marston’s realization that Quigley is still alive is the pinch that emphasizes his further pursuit of Quigley. Meanwhile, the turn in the plot arrives for Quigley when he and Cora collapse in the desert and are rescued and healed by aborigines.
Quigley leaves Cora with the towns people and rides to Marston's ranch where he first confronts Marston's men from a distance. Marston gradually loses more and more men to Quigley until he Quigley is captured.
