Varaha Avatar (Varaha means “boar” in Sanskrit) was the third of the 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu who lifted the Earth (personified as Bhudevi) from the cosmic ocean. This avatar took place in Satya Yuga. It was a part-boar (wild boar) and part-man incarnation.
