Accrington / ˈ æ k r ɪ ŋ t ə n / is a town in the Hyndburn borough of Lancashire, England. It lies about 4 miles (6 km) east of Blackburn, 6 miles (10 km) west of Burnley, 13 miles (21 km) east of Preston, 20 miles (32 km) north of Manchester and is situated on the culverted River Hyndburn.
Accrington is located in the county of Lancashire, North West England, one mile east of the town of Church, five miles east of the major town of Blackburn, 156 miles south of Edinburgh, 161 miles north of Cardiff, and 181 miles north-west of London.
