As the precursor to one of my favorite indie albums of the 2000s, I’d say that this is a pretty great defining album for their sound. Yeah I don’t think it quite lives up to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, but there are some really great songs on here and the album is pretty consistent the whole way through.
