When he arrives in Australia, he gets into a fight with employees of the man who hired him as they try to force "Crazy Cora" onto their wagon. After he identifies himself, he is taken to the station of Elliot Marston, who informs Quigley his sharpshooting skills will be used to eradicate the increasingly elusive Aboriginal Australians .

Quigley arrives at the ranch bringing with him Cora, a prostitute he defended against three men, the same ones Marston has sent to pick up the guy. Furthermore, the job doesn't fit the newcomer at all: he argues with Marston who then abandons him and Cora in the desert.
As a kid, I loved the movie because it was "Magnum PI the Western (In Australia)" but now, upon re-watch, I really am enjoying the subtlety and depth of the character "Crazy Cora" and the excellent job the actress Laura San Giacomo did with it.
