Unley is an inner-southern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, within the City of Unley. The suburb is the home of the Sturt Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Unley neighbours Adelaide Park Lands, Fullarton, Hyde Park, Malvern, Parkside and Wayville.
The first six subdivisions were Unley and Unley Park, which were subdivided in 1840. Goodwood, Fullarton and Parkside were subdivided in 1849 and Black Forest followed in 1850. Unley acted as a town centre for the growing number of communities, but each settlement had its own shops, schools, tradesmen, pubs and churches.
