  1. You do need to pay attention though. It's not some show you can have on in the background and expect to know what's going on several episodes later. There are things that get brought up briefly at the start of a season and then never referenced again until like 9 episodes later so you need to pay attention.

  2. As I said before, someone who watches the series carefully can easily see how good the finale actually is. Also, season 5 was probably one of the best seasons I've ever watched in my life. If you have the time, I think you should definitely watch it. Don't give up before moving on to the second season :)
