Saint-Maurice (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ mɔʁis] ⓘ) is a commune in the southeastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 6.8 km (4.2 mi) from the center of Paris. The lunatic asylum Charenton was located in Saint-Maurice; it is now a psychiatric hospital.
Saint-Maurice est une commune occupant 1,43 km2 dans le Val-de-Marne, sur la rive droite de la Marne juste en amont de son confluent avec la Seine. Elle est voisine des villes de Charenton-le-Pont à l'ouest, de Joinville-le-Pont à l'est, de Maisons-Alfort au sud, et de Paris au nord avec le Bois de Vincennes.

It is located on the right bank of the Marne, bordering Paris, Charenton-le-Pont, or the Bois de Vincennes. City Saint-Maurice existed since the eleventh century and was long an important Protestant stronghold, thanks to the presence of a temple built by Henry IV.
