Malpas (/ m æ l p ə s / MAL-pəs) is a market town [2] and a civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It lies near the borders with Shropshire and Wales , and had a population of 1,673 at the 2011 census .
Malpas is a picturesque village deep in the south Cheshire countryside which still retains its Norman motte and bailey castle, as well as a medieval street pattern.
