The first season is good but it's a full season with 22 episodes, and I can't recommend watching 22 episodes of a show that is not great and goes downhill after the second season.

Season 3 wasn't good, never bothered with the 4th one. So my recommendation is to watch Season 1 and 2, and then just skip the very last scene. The show is definitely worth your time.

Honestly it depends on the seasons individually. I stopped watching after the third because it lost my interest (wasnt about breaking out of the prison no more). I will say that season 1 had the best story mainly because it had a predetermined direction already set in stone.
Prison Break is a story about two brothers. One is Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) who's on Death Row for a crime he didn't commit. His genius brother Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) holds up a bank to get himself out in jail with his brother.
