Jul 29, 2022 · “Hawa” probably is the first Bangladeshi film that had a fairly decent 5.1 surround sound mix. The sound design, done by Anirban Ganguly and Meghdol guitarist Rasheed Sharif Shoaib, has successfully created a proper soundscape which is bound to give you a feeling of life on a deep sea fishing troller.
The first half of the movie is a kind of story buildup time and after the interval, events got pace. My only regret is that a movie that could be a masterpiece with a rating of 9 easy, ended up being a great movie with an average story, just like the last season of "Game of Thrones".

Based on a Siren-like local folklore, HAWA is a pleasant surprise for a Bangladeshi cinema that offers a twisted tale of supernatural with a little dose of "Slasher" also in its tensed 2nd half! Considering the general standard of genre-filmmaking in BD, the film indeed deserves all the hype. 13 out of 14 found this helpful.
