Sam Hummer is a local truck driver from Tucson, Arizona who works for a Tucson-based produce-shipper called "Red River". His driving partners are Duane Haller and "Pops" Dinwiddie.

User Reviews. This is gritty 70's B-movie action at its best. The CB radio craze was at its height when this movie first came out (I saw it on a double bill with "Jaws" at an outdoor)and the country was fascinated by the lives of long distance truckers.
White Line Fever has the makings of an Elmore Leonard story, with Dixie Mafia types harassing an everyman protagonist… Review by HKFanatic ★★★★ Pure populist cinema.
