Apr 5, 2017 · While there is an ink window, it’s translucent and somewhat narrow, only providing you with a general indication of how much ink remains in the pen. The pistons on my pens all operate smoothly, and they hold a good deal of ink, which I would peg at around 2ml (nonscientifically).
Holds a fair amount of ink, about 1.3 ml once you drip out a drop or two after filling the pen, so about twice the amount of our standard converter and a little more than the CON-70 (1.1 ml). The EF nib should write a little wider than your standard Japanese F nib.

Dec 15, 2015 · Piston fillers hold much more ink than their cartridge counterparts, and the Lamy 2000 is no different. I use the 2000 as my daily writer, so ink capacity is important. The best part of the pen's piston system is that it practically disappears when not in use.
I am going to buy a Lamy 2000 soon and, since this is my first pen I am spending triple digits and my first gold-nibbed pen, I am wanting to make sure the ink I put in it is safe and will not mess anything up, so let me ask a few questions.

The filling mechanism holds approximately 2.5ml of ink, a small fraction of which is visible through the translucent ink window located just behind the grip section.
Jul 12, 2016 · Katherine: This pen looks pretty cool. I like the brushed finish of the Makrolon and the hooded nib. I also really like how the pen has an ink window, but it’s pretty subtle. AND it has a slip cap, +10 points for Gryffindor. Franz: The Lamy 2000 is such a great looking pen that is also an awesome writer.
Jul 8, 2020 · The nib on the LAMY 2000 is also something to behold. The 14k gold nib may not seem superior to the 18k+ nibs on higher-end options, it’s optimized for contemporary writing styles. Modern-day handwriting has evolved to be much more efficient and minimalistic comparing to the more stylistic 19th-century counterparts.
