It’s a very long history because the land upon which Grayshott stands was formed over a hundred million years ago in the Cretaceous Period. The climate was warmer then, sea levels were higher and Grayshott was under a shallow lagoon. Sediment washed in by rivers became compacted to form our Lower Greensand bedrock.
