Six miles from the Oklahoma-Texas border, Erick was named in honor of Beeks Erick, the townsite developer and president of the Choctaw Townsite and Improvement Company.

  7. Very friendly and very helpful! This travel center has a vast amount of information for anything that you want to know about Oklahoma. It is located east bound, along I-40, about 7 miles after you crossover from the Texas panhandle. The restrooms are nice and they even have a dog park for the furry travel companions.
