Northampton is the county town of Northamptonshire, and is one of the largest settlements in the UK not to be a city. It is located approximately halfway between the cities of Birmingham and London. A smaller marina is along the River Nene in Becket’s Park, overlooked by 78 Derngate, a Grade II-listed house redesigned by Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
