The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan ( transl. Central School Organization) is a system of central government schools in India that are instituted under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. As of April 2023, it has a total of 1,253 schools in India, and three abroad in Kathmandu, Moscow and Tehran.
In the remainder of these instructions, a "Vidyalaya" means a Kendriya Vidyalaya. Please familiarize yourself with Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) admission rules, regulations and guidelines available at this link. You are strongly advised NOT to submit multiple applications to the same Vidyalaya for the same child.

The Government of India wholly finances the Sangathan. Over the years, the number of Kendriya Vidyalayas steadily increased to 1248 as on 30.06.2021.
