It's had a recent update, most probably because of it's popularity, which is surprising for a game released in 1999. I've been playing Worms for years, my first Worms game was United, but I've not played all of them. I've been playing it a lot recently. It's got a very popular online community, too.
It is a solid, niche hex-based strategy game that doesn't do a very good job of teaching the player the mechanics of the game. There are some strange choices made regarding how some units work, and no units can fire on multiple foes, not even titans.
