Starnberg is a town in Bavaria, Germany, some 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Munich. It is at the north end of Lake Starnberg, in the heart of the "Five Lakes Country", [3] and serves as capital of the district of Starnberg.

Lake Starnberg, or Starnberger See [ˈʃtaʁnbɛʁɡɐ ˌzeː] ⓘ) — called Lake Würm or Würmsee [ˈvʏʁmˌzeː] until 1962 — is Germany's second-largest body of fresh water, having great depth, and fifth-largest lake by area.
Such a beautiful lake in the south of Germany. I'll admit that it can get very busy sometimes, especially on nice days during the summer. But the lake itself it lovely to walk around in areas like Starnberg, Percha, Tutzing and Feldafing. Swimming here isn't the best as the water is very cold, and in some parts there's a lot of seaweed.
