I know you can use a flash drive/external hard drive to transfer files and data from one PC to another. But I don't think it can transfer everything from one PC to another through external devices.

That includes folders, files, email, programs, apps, etc. I found two companies that claim to do this seamlessly: Laplink and Zinstall. After looking at some of their customers' reviews and the BBB reports, I don't feel much confidence in either one.
