Barnwood is a suburb and former civil parish in the city of Gloucester, in the county of Gloucestershire, England. It lies about 1.8 miles (2.9 km) east of the centre of the city. Barnwood was originally a small village on the Roman road that links Gloucester with Hucclecote, Brockworth and Cirencester.

Barnwood Arboretum is a part of Barnwood Park and was given to Gloucester City Council in 2000 by a developer and soon after was designated a Local Nature Reserve (LNR) by Natural England. The Green Flag is for the whole Barnwood Park site.
Barnwood Park and Arboretum is located off Church Lane, Barnwood. Car parking on Church Lane and By St Lawrence's Church. Pedestrian access fro Charlton Court or along path from Abbeymead Avenue.
