Sishya was founded in 1972. The school has gradually developed over the years until it has evolved into a full fledged Higher Secondary School, offering the +2 since 1986.
Overview. Sishya School is a co-educational day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). It was established in 1972 by K. I. Thomas after his retirement from the Lawrence School, Lovedale, Ooty with just 28 students on its roll.
Admission to LKG. Children joining LKG must be 3+ by December 31st of the previous year. Admission is on a first come basis. As the numbers available are small, many parents choose to register their children at birth.
