People residing in India who wish to visit France as their sole or main destination, must go to any of the VFS Global Centres in India : Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai, Puducherry, Pune.
VFS Global Declaration Form must be filled and signed for all visa applications. Student visa applications can be accepted only 30 days before the course/internship starts. Foreign passport holders must provide a copy of the valid French residence document.
The competence of the Visa Section of the Embassy of France in New Delhi has been extended to Afghan nationals. Afghan nationals can now apply for their visas, in particular for family reunification and reunion, at VFS New Delhi.
Visa applications submitted in India are examined by the French consulates in Mumbai (Bombay), Chennai / Puducherry (Pondichéry), Kolkata (Calcutta), Bengaluru (Bangalore), and the visa section of the Embassy of France in Delhi.
