UNI-Dome (pronounced "YOU-nih-dome") is a multi-purpose stadium, on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, United States. It opened in 1976, as the home of the UNI Panthers basketball and football teams.
In nearly 50 years of increasing demands and usage, the UNI-Dome has seen occasional updates and improvements, but never the kind of comprehensive renewal envisioned here. It's time to renovate and renew our UNI-Dome to serve our fans, athletes, community, state and nation for the next generation.

The UNI-Dome is open to the public during the following times, unless there is an event or UNI Athletic practice; these events pre-empt open recreation time. Please check the UNI-Dome website calendar in advance or call the Operations Office to ensure the Dome's availability, 319-273-6334.
The UNI-Dome was built between 1974-1976 and opened Feb. 7,1976. It serves as a multipurpose stadium today for wrestling tournaments, track and field, softball and football. Several community events are held in the facility, including farm shows, concerts and other expos.

In most cases, the Dome has served the university and the community well.
The UNI-Dome, as it is commonly known, is a multi-purpose coliseum designed by Thorson-Brom-Broshar-Snyder Architects of Waterloo. For sports, it has an astro-turf football surface that can be rolled up when not in use; a removable basketball court; and an all-purpose floor marked as a running track.
