Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology is situated in Udaipur city of Rajasthan state in India. The government of Rajasthan founded this university by the bifurcation of Rajasthan Agriculture University, Bikaner on 1 November 1999.
The university awards Bachelor’s Degree in 13 disciplines, Master’s Degree in 27 specialization subjects and Doctor’s Degree in 25 subjects’ specialization. The university is accreditated by ICAR and the teaching programme at CTAE AND CDFT by AICTE and few courses of CTAE by NBA as well.
Recognizing the importance of agricultural growth and development in assuring livelihood security of its population, the Government of Rajasthan gave high priority to develop agricultural education, research and extension in the state.
